What is that?
Technique from the established dance masters in history.
We offer expert dance instruction through certified teachers specializing in established techniques, ensuring a rigorous and authentic learning experience rooted in proven pedagogical methods.

Ballet & Pointe: This class will teach classical ballet technique using The American Ballet Theatre's Curriculum, taught by ABT certified teachers. This technique incorporates Checchetti, Vaganova, and other foundational styles to produce well-rounded dancers. Terminology and history will be taught.

Jazz: This classic jazz class will follow the Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago Curriculum. The Giordano Technique employs a deep plié, rhythmic complexity and precision, and a strong and consistent use of core while moving each part of the body in isolation. Stylistically, dancers are regal, grounded, and elegant but perform with kinetic urgency, vibrancy, and attack.

Tap: This class will teach rhythm, soft shoe, and contemporary style tap technique using a curriculum that focuses on strong technical foundations and developmental teaching of progressive steps. The dancer becomes a percussive instrument, using their feet to produce intricate rhythms and patterns. History of tap and historical figures will also be included. Your dancer will learn famous traditional tap combinations like the B.S. Chorus, Shim Sham Shimmy, and Copasetic Soft Shoe.

Contemporary: Contemporary dance draws inspiration from various dance genres, including modern dance, ballet, jazz. Contemporary dance prioritizes emotional expression and personal interpretation. It incorporates elements like floor work, fall and recovery, and improvisation. Graham, Limón, Horton, Cunningham, etc. techniques will be taught, along with history and legacy of these famous choreographers.

Hip Hop: Hip-hop dance is a dynamic and evolving cultural expression that reflects the energy, creativity, and social spirit of hip-hop culture. Elements of popping, locking and breaking will be taught.

Industry Combos: Unleash your inner dancer! Dive into a new pop culture style each week, from street jazz to hip-hop funk and contemporary fusion, with a fresh combination and dedicated classroom performance time alongside friends.

PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique): PBT emphasizes training the specific muscle groups required for proper ballet technique. It aims to build a deeper understanding of how to engage these muscles for optimal performance. A significant component of PBT is strengthening the core muscles, which are essential for stability and balance in ballet. It also focuses on improving body alignment, which is crucial for preventing injuries and executing movements correctly.

Turns & Leaps: This class will focus on accomplishing skills of various technical turns and leaps correctly. Conditioning and strength exercises will be given to prepare the student to accomplish these skills.

Preschool Age Dance: Our preschool program, Pre-Primary dance, will teach developmentally appropriate skills while having fun! Basic skills and terminology in ballet and tap will be introduced, while working on our coordination, balance, musicality, use of imagination, and classroom etiquette. We will learn thru play, using proven pedagogical methods for this age.

Tumbling/Acro: Learn skills from the Acrobatic Arts. We will only teach safe skills, safe range of motion, and emphasize injury prevention.

Poms Dance Team: This fun, upbeat class will focus on elements of dance team: technique, clean lines, ripples, groups, and dancing together as a unit. You can prepare for your schools auditions or just have fun as part of our team! Each dancer will get a team uniform and poms. These classes will be taught by those with dance team experience or director experience. The level 3 class will be taught by former NFL cheerleaders and will teach NFL Style dance.

Musical Theater: Learn the necessary elements of dance to perform in Musical Theater: theatrical tap, ballet, and jazz, while emphasizing performance quality and storytelling. We will learn about different Musicals on Broadway.
